Demystifying Regenerative Agriculture while Improving Farm Health

Who are we…

AgrosBiome

A UK-based soil and livestock diagnostics company. We aim to help British farmers improve and innovate their farming by better understanding the microbial health of the UK agricultural environment.

Providing industry-level scientific expertise in microbiology and a wide range of cutting edge techniques to illuminate the diversity and health of the microbial world around you.

Services

Individual samples: Microbial composition and agrochemical analysis

A per sample service including the extraction of microbial and chemical data from either soil or animals samples. Based on information on the practices observed on your site, we will provide an exact assessment of the agro-relevant chemical and microbial composition of your samples.

Multiple samples: Microbial composition and agrochemical report

Our complete report service allows you to send multiple samples, alongside relevant information regarding your agricultural practices and observations. From this we can not only provide the same detailed analysis, but will provide a personalised report explaining the efficacy of your practices on the microbial health of your soil, useful for those concerned with the efficiency of microbial inoculants or treatments.

Bespoke experimental setup/Microbial composition and agrochemical report

For those keen to investigate novel practices, or undertake rigorous, scientifically-validated experiments, we offer a consulting and experimental design service. We will work with you to get the results you are interested in.

Our team

The AgrosBiome team has more than 25 years of laboratory experience between them, with a breadth of knowledge that enables the smooth transition of farm data into accurate, scientifically backed information on the efficiency of farming practices and the efficacy of bio-stimulants, controls, and ecosystem engineering species. Our team aims to bridge the gap between the UK agricultural sector and the often overlooked workings of modern scientific research, providing beneficial knowledge and hard scientific evidence for UK farmers.

Doug Wanstall (CEO)

Doug is a Kent farmer and CEO of both AgrosBiome and Beyond Zero, where he has been a leading voice in the development of a UK-wide carbon code and the adoption of regenerative agricultural practices.

Christian Hollingbery (COO)

Christian is a microbiologist specialising in soil micro-eukaryotes (protists) and their impact on soil microbiome and overall soil health. He has developed novel concepts for the usage of soil protists as biological control agents.

Dr. Anastasios Tsaousis (CSO)

Dr. Tsaousis has worked in the field of microbiology and parasitology for more than 20 years, heading up the University of Kent microbiome working group alongside his research lab.

William Edwards (CTO)

Will is a microbiologist/ bioinformatician with experience in the study of gut microbiomes, working particularly with poultry and ruminants.
